ON SET ETIQUETTE AND TIPS

  • BE ON TIME! 
    A good rule is to arrive early. Always factor in traffic and parking in order to get to the check in on time.

     

  • BE RELIABLE. 
     

  • BE RESPECTFUL TO THE CREW AND CAST.
     

  • BE PREPARED.
    Arrive camera ready -- specifics on what to bring for your scene. Typically you will need to bring several changes of clothes for the wardrobe department to choose from. Bring the clothing as requested in your information email. 

     

  • BE PROFESSIONAL.
    Being an extra s fun but it is a job, and as such, it requires being professional like any other job. 

     

  • FOLLOW DIRECTIONS.
    Pay attention to all instructions given by the Assistant Director so you can perform in the scene and so you’re able to recreate your movements every take. Never stop until you hear ‘cut’.

     

  • BE PATIENT. 
    "Hurry up and wait! ! There can definitely be a lot of waiting around. Actors rehearsal, crew spends hours setting up lights and cameras, and background usually isn't needed until set up is complete.

     

  • DO NOT ASK actors for autographs or photos.
     

  • DO NOT APPROACH the Director, key crew, or cast.
    It’s not personal, They are extremely busy. You are there to work and so are they. Respect their privacy and space.

     

  • DO NOT take photos or videos and post them on social media. You must follow all rules MUST ABIDE BY THE RULES OF THE PRODUCTION REGARDING ALL PHOTOGRAPHY. 
     

  • DO NOT LOOK INTO CAMERA. Not even a quick glance.
     

  • DO NOT wander around.
    If you need to leave set to use the bathroom or the phone you must tell a Production Assistant, Coordinator or Assistant Director.

     

  • DO NOT ASK to leave early.
    They’re relying on you to be available for the day, whether it’s 8 hours or all day/night. Make sure your schedule is clear.

Drugs or alcohol on sets is strictly prohibited.
